What You Should Bring With You
Counseling sessions at the Center can take about an hour. Please bring with you your acceptance letter(s), financial aid award letter and other documents about which you have questions. If you have questions about your FAFSA and have completed it, please bring with you a copy of your Student Aid Report (SAR).
What You Can Expect
We are here to help you! You will meet with an experienced counselor and/or financial aid advisor who will help you make sure everything is in place for college this fall. The High School to College Center uses Bridgit, an online software developed by College Bound that guides students and counselors through the matriculation process, step by step. You'll be able to access your Bridgit account online at home or with a counselor at the Center as you work through the steps toward enrollment.
Plan ahead: The Center closes at 3 PM weekdays and 2 PM on Saturdays. Please arrive early enough that the counselor has sufficient time to discuss your concerns with you. Arriving just before closing time may require a follow-up visit.
Already visited the Center?
You can access your Bridgit account here.
Where to Find Us
The High School to College Center is conveniently located near the intersection of Skinker and Delmar, a short walk from the Delmar Loop MetroLink Station. There is some metered parking in front of the Center.
St. Louis Graduates High School to College Center is made possible because of support from dozens of counselors from area high schools, middle schools, colleges and community organizations. Thank you!
St. Louis Graduates High School to College Center opened as a pilot project in Summer 2013 after a group of youth advisors and high school counselors began talking about ways to address "summer melt" in St. Louis. Summer melt is the phenomenon where college-intending high school seniors do not enroll in college in the fall, many times despite having acceptance letters and financial aid in place. It is estimated to affect up to 40% of high school graduates.
Previous research indicated that as little as 2 to 3 additional hours of counseling in the summer months could help students stay on track with their college plans.
